SCREEN PRINTED APPAREL

PRICING

QUOTE PROCESS

Dapper Ink will provide an initial estimate for new inquiries upon receiving information from potential clients. As clients provide additional details, the quote may evolve to reflect client design and print needs.

Dapper Ink will provide accurate-as-possible price estimates to clients. However prices are subject to change throughout the pre-press stages of an order (e.g., due to inventory or graphics changes).

Clients will be able to approve final pricing prior to the start of production.

Additional client requests or changes made to an order during the production stage of that order are subject to additional charges, such as restock or reshipping fees.

Orders that fall below a production minimum or require complicated procedures / specialty inventory will be subject to additional set up fees.

PAYMENT TERMS

Payment is due upon receipt of final goods, unless other payment terms have been specifically approved by Dapper Ink prior to production. Some orders may require a deposit of up to 50% of the total estimated cost prior to the beginning of production.

Clients will receive an official invoice prior to or at the time of receiving a completed screen printed order.

Payments can be made with check, credit card, money order, cash or approved direct deposit.

Any returned form of payment (insufficient funds, stopped check, declined credit card, etc) will result in additional bank and inconvenience charges of up to $50.

Any invoices not paid in full within 30 days of receipt may be sent to a third party collections agency.

LEAD TIME

Dapper Ink will provide an estimated lead time for an order during the client inquiry stage.

Depending on the work required for a client job, a separate lead time for each step of the screen printing process (artwork creation, production, post production assembly, shipping, etc.) will be provided. Clients should allow +/- 2 days surrounding deadline to accommodate unforeseen complications in the screen print process.

Any client requests for design, production, or post production work that require faster than standard turnaround time are subject to rush fees or additional set up fees.

Dapper Ink is not responsible for unavoidable production delays, including third-party error (e.g., mistakes made by ink suppliers, garment distributors, weather affected shipping, etc). Clients will be alerted to any delays as quickly as possible.

Upon completing an order, Dapper Ink will alert clients that items are ready for pickup or shipment, whichever is negotiated prior to production.

Dapper Ink is not responsible to store either finished orders or unprinted inventory for longer than 30 days.

Cancelling or changing an order after it has been placed is subject to distributor restocking fees.

SHIPPING

Dapper Ink provides domestic shipping via USPS and FedEx.

Shipping rates will negotiated separately and included on the final invoice.

  • Dapper Ink does not ship items using client’s shipping account numbers

  • Expedited shipping charges may apply for any shipping methods other than standard GROUND SHIPPING from USPS or FedEx.

  • A surcharge for multiple destination shipping may be added to the invoice.

Dapper Ink will provide shipping insurance and tracking information for all orders if requested.

Dapper Ink is not responsible for either lost or damaged packages or delays caused by the shipping carriers (rerouting, inclement weather, etc.)

DESIGN POLICIES

Screen printed orders requiring the creation of original artwork or recreation of existing artwork are subject to an hourly graphic design fee.

Print ready artwork will not incur any additional fees.

For the creation of any original design content (i.e., any artwork that is not a direct recreation or inclusion of an existing design), Dapper Ink retains the rights to all original artwork created at the request of a client regardless of hourly design fees. Any artwork or portions of artwork created by Dapper Ink may be used at the company’s discretion. See Graphic Design Policies for more information.

Dapper Ink will not design or print any direct reproductions of licensed or copyrighted imagery without written permission from the license holder.

Dapper Ink will not design or print any objectionable content, including crude, inflammatory, or slanderous text or imagery.

Dapper Ink reserves the discretionary right to refuse to design or print graphics that display politically charged or socially sensitive content.

SCREEN PRINTING PRODUCTION POLICIES

Screen Printing orders under the required piece minimum are subject to an additional fee.

Reorders of existing designs are quoted as a new order and are not guaranteed to be the same price as previous orders.

Dapper Ink is not responsible for any client errors (misspellings, date changes, etc) after approval of the artwork is given.

If printer error occurs (incorrect product, wrong quantity, wrong design, wrong ink color, poor print quality), Dapper Ink will provide a reprint of the entire order at no extra charge. Limitations of the screen print process (listed in the customer expectations section below) do not qualify as printer error.

In some cases certain garments can become unavailable due to inventory shortage from a distributor. Dapper Ink does its best to provide accurate information on available products but cannot guarantee any particular item will always be available.

Clients will approve a virtual proof showing an

as-close-as-possible representation of their final product before production.

  • After approval of a virtual mock up, clients may arrange to be present at the time their orders are on press.

  • However, at that time, no further changes may be made without additional fees or delays.

Unless otherwise discussed, Dapper Ink assumes permission to display client work for advertising purposes.

Whether or not a client likes the garment he chose (i.e. fit, color, fabric) is not the responsibility of Dapper Ink. Clients are expected to understand the specifications of the garments (either through their own research or asking questions of Dapper Ink) they choose to purchase as well as be familiar with the terms and conditions of the garment manufacturer.

While Dapper Ink does guarantee print quality, Dapper Ink does not guarantee the quality of garments provided by manufacturers and distributors. Dapper Ink will not be held responsible for shrinkage, mislabeled sizes, discoloration, or other manufacturer’s defects.

Overages or shortages less than 3% of total order is considered an acceptable complete order.

  • Should a completed order contain fewer pieces than requested by a client, Dapper Ink will bill clients on the total number of garments printed, not to exceed the number ordered by the client.

  • During the approval process for an order, a client may request that Dapper Ink deliver an exact number of garments. However, this request may require an additional surcharge.

CUSTOMER EXPECTATIONS FOR SCREEN PRINTING PRODUCTIONS

Plastisol inks are used for most screen printing orders.

  • Plastisol inks are moderately opaque - expect ink colors to be affected by the underlying garment color.

  • All plastisol inks can be felt on a garment. Brighter and/or more opaque inks will be noticeably thicker.

Water-based inks can be used on some orders per client request.

  • Water-based inks are moderately transparent - expect ink colors to be affected by the underlying garment color.

  • All inks can be felt on a garment but water-based inks tend to be softer than plastisol.

  • Water-based inks are subject to additional fees or higher pricing than plastisol.

CMYK process printing will produce full-color photorealistic art using small dots. CMYK process printing requires a larger minimum order due to the setup time involved and is subject to additional fees.

Specialty effect inks (i.e. shimmer, glow, puff) are subject to additional fees.

Printing on top of or close to seams and zippers is a difficult and sometimes impossible process. Customers must discuss this with Dapper Ink before proceeding.

Bulk folding is standard procedure and included in our service. Special packaging (i.e. individually folding, tagging) is subject to additional fees and longer turnaround times.

Pantone (color) matched inks are mixed using the pantone formula guide.  Pantones are not 100% guaranteed based on the assumption that the underlying garment color will affect the ink color. The Dapper Ink production team will use their best judgment to mix the color closest to the approved proof.

Tightly registered colors may sometimes misalign during the print process. Serious registration problems are immediately fixed. Some slight misalignments are considered acceptable to the discretion of the production team.

Heavy ink coverage due to large fields of color or several layers of ink will be noticeably thicker on a tee shirt.

Customers are expected to consult with a Dapper Ink project manager to discuss screen printing limitations and choose the most suitable process for their print needs.

DISCLAIMER

Dapper Ink reserves the right to halt or cancel an order at any time during the screen printing process.

EMBROIDERED APPAREL

PRICING

QUOTE PROCESS

Dapper Ink will provide an initial estimate for new inquiries upon receiving information from potential clients. As clients provide additional details, the quote may evolve to reflect client design and embroidery needs.

Clients should expect to pay a one-time set up fee for the conversion of a logo design to thread stitch count (digitizing). This set up fee will not apply to subsequent embroidery orders that have the same design, unless changes are made to the digitized design that require the reconversion of the design.

The cost for the digitizing an embroidery file is estimated by the total stitch count required for translating a design into embroidery.

Dapper Ink will provide accurate-as-possible price estimates to clients. However prices are subject to change throughout the pre-press stages of an order (i.e., due to inventory or graphics changes).

Clients will be able to approve final pricing prior to the start of production.

Additional client requests or changes made to an order during the production stage of that order are subject to additional charges.

Orders that fall below a production minimum or require complicated procedures / specialty inventory will be subject to additional set up fees.

DESIGN POLICIES

Embroidery orders requiring the creation of original artwork or recreation of existing artwork are subject to an hourly graphic design fee.

Embroidery ready artwork (i.e., a digitized file) will not incur any additional fees.

Clients must specify the exact size they wish to have their artwork embroidered. If no size preferences are given, Dapper Ink will assume standard embroidery sizes based on the location of the embroidery.

Dapper Ink will not design or embroider any direct reproductions of licensed or copyrighted imagery without written permission from the license holder.

Dapper Ink will not design or embroider any objectionable content, including crude, inflammatory, or slanderous text or imagery.

Dapper Ink reserves the discretionary right to refuse to design or embroider graphics that display politically charged or socially sensitive content.

CUSTOMER EXPECTATIONS FOR EMBROIDERED GOODS

Clients should not expect the same level of detail to be achieved with embroidery that can be accomplished with 2 dimensional printing (e.g., screen printing or digital printing) and should not expect very small text or design elements to be clearly legible.

Clients may request specific available thread colors to be used for their embroidery. Thread colors cannot be Pantone matched. Dapper Ink has the prerogative to substitute the closest available thread color when an exact, non-available thread color is requested.

All embroidered designs will have a fabric backing on the opposite side of the embroidery (inside the garment) to ensure the integrity of the stitching.

Embroidery that requires stitching on top of or close to garment seams, zippers, pockets, collars, hems, etc. may result in the distortion of the design or in the alteration of the garment to accommodate for embroidery stitching.

Heavy embroidery coverage resulting from large logos, fill stitching, and non standard embroidery placement, etc. may result in puckering on soft or thin garments.

Traditional embroidery cannot yield the same visual effect as a patch. An order of patches will have a different procedure than standard embroidery services.

Dapper does not provide a patch sew-on service.

DISCLAIMER

Dapper Ink reserves the right to halt or cancel an order at any time during the embroidery process.

Clients will approve a virtual proof showing an as-close-as-possible representation of their final product before production. A client that submits their own artwork will not be shown a virtual proof unless otherwise requested. Dapper Ink assumes that print-ready artwork submitted by a client is without error and does not merit further approval.

Unless otherwise discussed, Dapper Ink assumes permission to display client work for advertising purposes.

CUSTOMER EXPECTATIONS FOR WIDE FORMAT PRINTED GOODS

Print colors are calibrated to accurately match Dapper Ink’s computer screens and not guaranteed to match customer’s computer screens.

Dapper Ink will include minimal white space around all prints to allow room for cutting when laying out files for print. Exact white space needs (i.e. margins or trim marks) should be specified before printing and will be included in the total square footage billed.

Dapper Ink uses only Epson inks to ensure print quality.

Longevity of the medium differs for each substrate. Dapper Ink is not responsible for defects or damage incurred due to improperly used substrates.

All fine art reproductions are produced on acid free, archival substrates.

Natural inclusions in organic media (i.e. papers, canvas) are not defects, but rather the nature of the medium. Customers are expected to research and request samples of the substrate in advance of printing.  Customers should be familiar with the terms and conditions of the substrate manufacturer
